Dutch LNG supplier Titan marked its debut in the United Kingdom with the completion of a bunkering operation in Dundee, Scotland.

Titan said in social media post that the bunkering operation took place on February 1.

During the operation, Titan’s chartered 5,300-dwt dual-fueled LNG bunkering vessel, Alice Cosulich, delivered 345 metric tons of LNG to DEME’s dual-fuel cable installation vessel, Living Stone.

Besides Belgium’s DEME, Titan joined forces with the Dundee port authorities for the ship-to-ship operation.

This successful venture “establishes a strong foundation for future collaborations in the dynamic UK energy market,” Titan said.

In October last year, Italian shipping group Fratelli Cosulich took delivery of Alice Cosulich from China’s Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE).

The vessels serves a charter deal Fratelli Cosulich signed with Titan.

European small-scale LNG player Molgas, backed by French infrastructure fund investor InfraVia, recently purchased a 45 percent stake in Titan.

The company’s parent firm Titan Energy Holding closed a funding round for the equity stake with further follow-on rights from Molgas.

The investment in Titan aims to accelerate the global uptake of alternative fuels like bio-LNG in the maritime sector and complements Molgas’ build-out of alternative fuels supply across Europe and beyond, the two firms said.
