Cyprus-based owner and shipping fund manager Pelagic Partners has sealed a charter deal with US tanker player International Seaways for one of its LR1 vessels.
The 2009-built Pelagic Turbot has been fixed long-term to the New York-listed owner and operator following its recent docking.
The 73,400 dwt unit is the second ship International Seaways has taken on charter after the 2008-built 76,580 dwt Pelagic Tope.
Pelagic Partners has a diversified fleet, including four tankers built between 2006 and 2009. The company has also recently bolstered its offshore segment with a pair of multipurpose support vessels which will be managed by its portfolio company Golden Energy Offshore.
“As Pelagic Partners continues to grow and evolve, we remain committed to providing our partners with reliable solutions and expertise. The collaboration with International Seaways is a strategic step toward achieving these goals, and we are eager to explore further opportunities together,” the company said.
