ONE boxship collides with Maersk vessel in Hong Kong

On Saturday evening the 364 m long ONE Columba allided with the 6,600 teu Clifford Maersk in Hong Kong port with videos showing a number of containers falling off the Maersk ship.

The accident happened as the ONE vessel was proceeding to berth, its bow ramming the starboard bow of the berthed Maersk vessel, with three containers falling overboard, which were subsequently retrieved. The Maersk ship was lightly damaged in the incident at Modern Terminals.

Local media suggested the ONE vessel lost power as it entered the terminal.
