Noble Corporation has secured more work for its semisubmersible rig, Ocean Apex, in Australia.

The New York-listed rig owner said the 1976-built and 2014-upgraded unit had been fixed to an unnamed operator in direct continuation of its prior commitments in Australia.

The deal is for at least 37 days at undisclosed rates, with the fixture starting between the second and third quarters of 2025.

The Ocean Apex has been working for Santos since June 2024. The rig will stay with the operator until May this year, after which it will move on to work for Chevron Australia until July. The US supermajor holds an additional one-well-priced option.
