Only after a deal is struck with the new US administration will Hungary give the green light to extend sanctions against Russia, Hungary’s Minister for European Affairs, Janos Boka, told German newspaper Die Welt, as reported by N-TV.
“Without such an agreement, the Hungarian government sees no basis for further sanctions decisions,” said Boka.

The new administration in Washington has already fired the first shot in a looming North American trade war. On Saturday, President Donald Trump invoked an emergency sanctions law to impose punitive tariffs of 25% on Canadian and Mexican imports, along with an additional 10% duty on Chinese goods, Reuters reported.
