Oslo-listed Subsea 7 has won a contract from energy major Equinor for a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for the Fram Sør development project, offshore Norway.
The study will finalise the technical definition of the proposed subsea development before Equinor and its partners make the final investment decision, the company said in a filing.
The contract comes with options for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation scope, taking the overall value between $150m and $300m. The offshore installation campaign would take place in 2026, 2027, and 2028.
The Fram Sør area is located 10-30 km north of the Equinor-operated Troll C platform. The development will be connected to the existing Fram and Troll C infrastructure.
