Indonesia’s Samudera Shipping has established a shipbroking business in Singapore.

The Singapore-listed diversified owner said in a filing it had incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary Samudera Ship Brokers on Thursday.

The new company will mainly be involved in ship brokering, port, shipping and maritime related consultancy services, Samudera said.

Established in 1993, Samudera today operates a fleet of more than 30 vessels in the container shipping, dry bulk and tanker business segments.
