LSEG, formerly known as Refinitiv, has launched a palm oil tanker freight assessment, developed by the group’s agriculture and shipping research teams in collaboration with a panel of shipbrokers.

The MR route covers two ports heading to Rotterdam with the rates announced every Friday.

The palm oil tanker freight assessment is the first in a series of assessments that will cover key trade routes for palm oil, vegetable oils, used cooking oil, and biofuels. These will be progressively released by LSEG over the coming months.
